Call for blog ideas
March 29, 2005So far, so good. We’ve upgraded the i.ph backend
(BlogCMS) and i.ph user interface. The system is now more
user-friendly, and supports new features such as “Latest posts” in the
sidebar and links to RSS feeds, among others. There are quite a
number of other new features in the pipeline, and we’re excited about introducing these to the blogosphere.
But product development is not complete without user feedback, hence this call for inputs from blog authors, most especially (but not limited to)
i.ph bloggers. Do you have any ideas on how to further improve
the service? Any suggested features?
We have designed i.ph with bloggers in mind. But the blogosphere
offers a vast universe of ideas and concepts. What would be your
favorites? What would be cool? What would be useful? Would you like to see your ideas put into action? We definitely would.
We’re open to suggestions.
Please feel free to contact me at jangelo@domains.ph.
A Challenge to all Bloggers!!!!
March 21, 2005Calling all bloggers . . . . . . .!!!! I would like to announce that www.i.ph is bug free! In relation to our goal of providing bloggers with the best quality service, we are launching a blog drive entitled: “Strike 3, you’ll get your site for free.”
Due to the continuous updates and upgrades that our programmers are doing, we are confident enough to claim the superiority of our product compared to the other blog sites. In relation to this, if you find 3 bugs or errors in our system, we will be more than willing to give you the service for free or extend your site if you have already paid for it.
All you have to do is spot, report and claim. Spot the bug, report it to jpaclan@domains.ph and claim your free site. From March 21 to April 21, anyone who finds at least 3 errors shall be awarded an i.ph blogsite.
Are you ready to take on the challenge?

Update your Multimedia Gallery
Did you encounter any difficulties with your multimedia gallery? Well, not anymore. Improvements have been made so that you will no longer go through the process of accessing your blog editor and checking all the pictures you want to be seen in your gallery.
Now, all you have to do is upload your pictures on your blogsite and the calliope editor will automatically update the photographs in your multimedia sidebar. If there are any photos you would like to be hidden from the eyes of your readers, this will be the only time that you need to access your blog editor and check all the pictures you don’t want to be seen.
But, hold on to your hats, because of these changes, you might not be able to view your beautiful pictures on your multimedia gallery resulting from the upgrade we have just made. To correct this, proceed to your blog editor and manually uncheck the pictures on the multimedia gallery sidebar. Remember, before you checked photos to be seen, now you check the photos to be unseen. To do this, just go to your iPanel, click the “Change blog design” link, press the edit button on the blog editor, proceed to the multimedia gallery option of your sidebar and unselect all the photos that you want to be seen.
Complicated? Well, I think its quite simple. . . . we improved it for you.
Check it out for yourself. More developments will come, count on it . . . .
Your Comment
A blog is not complete without a comment box. Comments enable bloggers to interact with each other. They give readers a better overview of the insights that have been posted on the blogs. This feature makes blogging an exciting form of journalism. Imagine writing on a global audience where your readers can actually voice out their opinions and react on what you have jotted down. Wouldn’t that be great?
Realizing the importance and benefit of this feature, we have recently implemented improvements on our comment box that will enable blog readers to react to the jottings of the blogger in a more personal way.
Instead of just placing their comments, readers can now express shades of meaning. They can now post how they feel about the blog entry and believe me, the blogger will surely understand what they mean . . . .
Check it out and comment . . . .Show the blogger how you feel about their entries . . . . .
Cool, new interface
Have you seen the new interface lately? www.i.ph has a new and relaxing feel with a more user-friendly interface. The site itself is continuously developed to enhance the online experience of blog enthusiasts so that they can breeze through their admin homepage with ease, post their latest entries without the complexity of technical options, simply edit their blogs and change whatever settings they would like to be implemented on their site.
Take a look at it and feel the change . . . .
RSS Enabled
What’s the big fuzz about this feature? Well, one word, syndication. Finally, your work can be read by millions and millions of bloggers around the world. Imagine your blog followers being automatically notified of updates immediately after posting your entries. Now they can exactly know what’s new with your blogs.
In the past, blog readers needed to go to each and every single one of their favorite blog sites to see if there is something new. This can be quite frustrating, especially for those with little time to blog or those using a dial-up connection.
Now, i.ph users can take care of this problem simply by enabling the RSS Feeds located at the sidebar of your blogeditor. On your “Change your blog design” option, you can enable this feature giving you more flexibility and a better blog experience.
Check it out and Enjoy this feature on your i.ph blog . . . .
Organize Galleries More Easily
February 1, 2005Managing those memories you treasure just got easier with the new nested or sub-albums feature. Your gallery now has more flexibility in categorizing all your photos and videos. For example, you can set-up a main album called “Vacations” and have ‘Xmas in Boracay’, ‘Spring Break in Paris’ and ‘Skiing in the Alps’ as nested or sub-albums inside it.
To create sub-albums:
1. Log onto your control panel, go to i. gallery and click on “Manage Gallery”
2. Click on one of your existing albums or the ‘new_album’ link at the upper right side of the page.
3. Under the ‘admin options’ pull-down menu, click on ‘new nested album’.
4. Start uploading photos or videos.
5. Say goodbye to cluttered galleries and hello to a new clean look your visitors can appreciate.
i.mail Improvements
January 25, 2005We’ve made your i.ph email easier to manage. Mailbox information on your i.panel now shows you the number of unread messages and total messages in your inbox. These are indicated beneath the i.mail link on your Control Panel.
Your Disk usage and limit are shown inside i.mail. It lets you know if you need to delete messages to free up disk space for entries, photos or videos.
New Feature Lets Bloggers Post Via Email
January 21, 2005Using your i.ph blog just got easier. Our new “Post via email” feature turns your personal email account into a blog-posting application. Post entries, photos and videos from anywhere just by sending email.
Setting up your account to post via email is simple. Just log on and click on the “Web Address” link. Indicate the blog’s name, making sure the ‘Enabled’ box is checked, and then click “Submit”. Then go to your iblog Panel, click on “Configure posts via email”, enter the email address you want to post from, click “Submit” and you’re ready to go.
To post an entry, send an email to <category>@<blogname>.<domain>.i.ph (e.g. food@eviltwin.lime.ph)
The subject line of the email message will be posted as the title of your entry, and the body of the email will be the post itself. If the category you sent to does not exist (or was misspelled), the entry will be posted in the “General” category. You can include photos or videos as attachments and they will be posted along with the entry. View
For your galleries, simply click the “Configure posts via email” button on your igallery Panel, enter the email address you wish to post from, and click “Submit”. Everytime you want to post photos or videos directly to your galleries, simply attach them to an email and send to <albumname>@<gallery>.<domain>.i.ph. If the album does not exist, our system will create it. View
As a security feature, you will receive a confirmation email before your entries or photos/videos are posted. Just reply to the email, keeping the subject line intact, and voila! — your blog is updated.
dotPH releases world’s first anonymous domain
September 7, 2004i.ph, the new second level PH domain, is specifically for individuals. Priced at a wholesale rate of $3.75 a year to accredited DotPH Registrars, i.ph domains are an economical way for individuals to establish an Internet presence.
i.ph is uniquely geared to support blogging, the global web publishing phenomenon. It is the world’s first anonymous domain, requiring only a mobile phone and email address to activate.
Frequently, bloggers choose to expound their ideas without revealing their identity. i.ph allows this, while protecting trademarks and intellectual property concerns by providing a means to initiate UDRP disputes that are resolved by a neutral 3rd party.
