Starting next week, we are going to test a new ad system. i.PH users and their visitors will see ads on their blogs for a small fraction of the time they visit an i.PH blog.

This will ensure that we keep running costs to a minimum. This will help keep your i.PH blog free of charge.

Update

We have received notice from Bayantel, our upstream provider, that international Internet links have been restored after being rerouted to another cable system.  Your websites' performance should be improved due to this development.

Announcement

Some of you may have noticed a slowdown in the way that your website loads.  We have been informed by Bayantel, our upstream provider that there has been an outage in a major international Internet cable system. There is reason to believe that the outage was possibly caused by a cut in the undersea cable wires.

The situation is currently being assessed and we have yet to receive an estimate of how long it will before normal operations are resumed.  In the meantime, we are exploring alternatives to provide relief for your bandwidth requirements while we work with Bayantel in resolving the situation at the soonest possible time.

We apologize for any difficulties this situation may have caused.  Rest assured that we will provide updates as soon as we are informed of developments on the cause of the problem and restoration time.

Downtime

Last night, while we were in the process of moving I.PH accounts to newer and better improved servers, we experienced technical difficulties with one of the older ones. This has rendered some I.PH accounts to be temporarily inaccessible. If your site is one of those affected, we are deeply sorry for the extended downtime. We have been working around the clock to have this problem resolved as quickly as possible, with no loss of content to anyone. As it stands, we believe we will be able to get things up and running by 1:00PM today. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.  Once more, our sincerest apologies. Good day.

UPDATE!!! 

About 15 minutes ago, the affected I.PH blogs that went down are once again back online except for a handful which are still in mid-migration.

Some of you may experience seeing your galleries "empty". Please do not worry. Your content is still safe. it will just take a us a little longer to restore the contents of your photo and audio galleries.
