August 22, 2007Some of you may have noticed a slowdown in the way that your website loads. We have been informed by Bayantel, our upstream provider that there has been an outage in a major international Internet cable system. There is reason to believe that the outage was possibly caused by a cut in the undersea cable wires.
The situation is currently being assessed and we have yet to receive an estimate of how long it will before normal operations are resumed. In the meantime, we are exploring alternatives to provide relief for your bandwidth requirements while we work with Bayantel in resolving the situation at the soonest possible time.
We apologize for any difficulties this situation may have caused. Rest assured that we will provide updates as soon as we are informed of developments on the cause of the problem and restoration time.
